Well today started off on the wrong foot shal we say. Literally. While stepping over an engine block I had lost my footing and managed to step right into a 5 gallon bucket of used motor oil. The now newly oil painted everything took a little time to deal with. Filled the caddy up with a small scrap run to free me up some room. I did get 500 lbs into the trunk tho... The drive was white knuckle all of the way.
Anyhow..
I really think I got some stuff done today. The wiring harness on the driver side is all cleaned up nice and tidy. I had to move the starter solenoid several times due to definite future rubbing problems. Moving the wiring and all related is not really all that hard. Besides the other side of the inner fender is a much better place for all of that bulky Ford wiring. Might be getting all of the extra holes welded up tonight... maybe.. My welder friend isn't the most timely. I also fitted the hood, plastic splash guards and the fenders to check clearances. I also put the nose piece on as well just to make sure the aftermarket fenders are going to fit. I left the fenders connected to the nose after looking things over and hung the assembly from the rafters because space is tight around here. I mounted the old driver door to check some of the electrical. I had found some stout door solenoids that are factory to something.. they were able to unlatch the door just fine. Time to sit on the love seat in the garage with the dog and watch some TV. Till next time.
